I made my living as a freelance editor, book doctor, ghostwriter, and speaker for fifty years. Now I’m writing novels and a memoir, hiking all over Northern California, and relaxing into more quiet time. I wake up each morning feeling graced.
After an MA in Literature at the University of Michigan, I became an investigative reporter in Chicago. It was my job to be on hand whenever Mayor Daley was doing something naughty, and to write it up in a humorous way for the good people of Chicago, who consider politics a blood sport. After moving to San Francisco and starting to write and edit books, I also became a student of meditation and Advaita Vedanta, spent time in India, hiked down and up the Grand Canyon, played a lot of tennis, and was certified as a spiritual director. My sales experience came from being the first Sales Director at two transformational organizations that are thriving worldwide today.
For me, life has always been about finding the magical place where we connect with the Divine. That theme runs through everything on this site: my novels, an upcoming memoir, speaking, and books and blogs on writing and selling. I hope you find some of that presence as you browse.
